BDD Foundation joins the Big Give

Asociat applauds as the BDD Foundation joins the Big Give Kind²Mind 2023 initiative. Operating under the tagline of ‘one donation twice the impact’, the initiative invites people to visit the Big Give website, choose one of several high-impact mental health charities to give to and it then match funds every donation made (up to a specified limit).

What are we raising funds for?

The BDD Foundation has developed a program of CBT based therapy which aims to reduce to zero the significant list of BDD sufferers who have waited for up to two years for medical help elsewhere. The charity considers this wait to be potentially fatal – suicide rates in the BDD population are shockingly, 4500% higher than national averages.

Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is a truly debilitating condition but the program has been proven to measurably reduce BDD anxieties and motivate behaviour change – 30 sufferers can go into the 20 week program for an investment of just £5K. For £20K we can get 120 people into this potentially life saving program right now.

The Big Give will match fund the opening £2500 which means we can get helping the first 30 sufferers very quickly and with great effectiveness; as these past participants in the program testify to…

The online programme has given me my life back! I struggled to receive the correct help on the NHS. This debilitating and misunderstood condition has held me back and made my life a misery. Now I am better able to manage my BDD and live a more fulfilling life.

Purpose will be central to rebuilding brands in the society that is emerging after the pandemic. The businesses that will not just survive, but thrive, over the coming months and years will be those whose leaders embrace the notion that there is no merit in profit without purpose.

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
