Secret London visits 130 Primrose

Journalist and creator Dan Egg interviewed Mark, an aspirational chef and member of the second cohort of recruits at 130 Primrose. Mark poignantly explains his journey from being homeless to working in the kitchen team at the charity restaurant. The resulting film and Mark’s candid and heartwarming appraisal of his experience is a fabulous endorsement of this Asociat flagship project and proof of concept.

Here, I feel like I’m with my second family.

It’s not just Mark though. 130 Primrose hopes to change the status quo for all homeless people. And all those threatened by the scourge of homelessness.

It’s the charity’s intention to prove the model and vision, and scale it nationally – to bring more economic opportunities to more homeless people.

To achieve this vision, the restaurant seeks to become a pipeline of diverse talent for the wider catering and hospitality sector – an industry which in fact struggles with both recruitment and retainment. Ultimately 130 Primrose aims to change the flawed public perception of what it is to be homeless.

As you will note from the film, the restaurant’s fine array of dishes achieve a rave review too…

The food here is incredible, but I do have to shout out the Pear Manchego…

Don’t just take Secret London’s word for it though! Simply by booking a table to sample the delights of our menu you too can support the mission: Help 130 Primrose bring meaningful economic opportunities to those ordinarily denied them. Reserve a table here.

When Secret London visits 130 Primrose good things happen!

Purpose will be central to rebuilding brands in the society that is emerging after the pandemic. The businesses that will not just survive, but thrive, over the coming months and years will be those whose leaders embrace the notion that there is no merit in profit without purpose.
